That’s right, biaatches. As part of my inaugural bloggin’ for the TP, I managed to wrangle through the press corps surrounding the famed British author and snag an exclusive interview with the lady herself, whose sixth offering in the mega-popular series, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, is due out July 16. Below is the interview in its complete and entirely unlitigatable glory, because we cleverly covered our asses with the quotation marks in the title. (I looked it up. Thanks, first amendment!)

Have you seen the Daily Show with Jon Stewart on Comedy Central? How he does that fake newscast: actors play reporters on the show, and they do a lot of mock reporting; they incorporate comedy into the news; have a studio audience, do celebrity interviews. As I pursue a dream of having my own evening newscast on the FOX network, it would be different: real news with more of an emphasis on pop culture; add more to each story (learning process, positive thinking and action steps); and add sports and weather. There is a common bond 20-percent of the time: we appeal to a younger audience; Jon Stewart’s show is, and mine would be, based in New York City; and we make people laugh. 80-percent of the time, however, I would be the giant leader over the Daily Show: from what is news, to how the show is put together; Jon Stewart and the gang will be crying for their mamas.
