Just wanted to add a few things about the cover art on this month’s edition of Newspeak (which hits stands today–go getchyer copy):
1). Here’s the full image, which we had to crop for to make it fit and because the law says you can’t have frontal nudity below the waist (click on it for a larger version):
2). Yes, the model is over 18. In fact, she’s 22. We have documentation.
3). If you haven’t seen Jeff’s art show, again we urge you to do so:

4). For more, check out Jeff’s awesome homepage,jeffcloutier.com

If I was a boring lesbian, she would be my muse.
Nice one Noel, Aaron!
Is this the old Larry Flintesque trick, where you take someone who looks underage and publish a racy photo that is intended to get the puritans to freak out, wait a few days and see how many places refuses to distribute it, cry 1st amendment violations, then you increase you publicity by threefold?
You guys… are brilliant.
Well put, AE. Sheer genius you guys! Lookin’ forward to the community’s feedback. Ya’ll never cease to amaze me!
You guys definitely picked the best photo of the bunch for the cover.
I think your cover model is a Clinton.
I know! More braces, please.
No cankles..no Clinton.
Lousy NSFW-ambushin’ controversy-seekin’ Newspeak!
We have some of Jeff’s fine work displayed at Colachi Arts -1107 #11 Manitou Ave. in Manitou Springs– I proudly support Jeff’s “controversial” art!
I always find it strange that boobs will invariably offend more than anything else. We could run a graphic picture on the cover of somebody getting shot in the head and we’d scare off fewer people. “But my eight-year-old could see breasts!” And he or she didn’t see that during breastfeeding?
Seeing Knocked Up—which I highly recommend; Judd Apatow is great—nothing drew more gasps from the audience than the very brief shot of a baby’s head crowning. This is a movie filled with profanity, drug use and the like, and the scene that people chose to be offended over was the scene of a baby being born. God forbid we ever see a vagina. We live in a weird culture.
