An audiotape just surfaced of mullet and leather chaps aficionado Dog the Bounty Hunter on the phone with his son, hurling racial slurs about his son’s girlfriend, who is black. My first thought was, Dog the Bounty Hunter has a son? Really? I then wondered if Bobby Brown Bail Bonds will start to retreat from the ads they’ve been running in bathrooms citywide, which proudly state “As Seen on Dog the Bounty Hunter!” From what I know, the agency has also been investigating murder cold-cases, which is great, but my guess is that they probably want to avoid an image as crazy racists.

Listen to Dog’s tirade here.

Update: A&E has now suspended production of the show and Dog has reached out to the de facto arbiter of any celebrity racism allegations, Rev. Al Sharpton.

First of all I am not trying to avoid any connection or affiliation with anyone or anything that has to do with RACISTS.

Am I going to change my advertising techniques that makes reference to my appearing on the most watched cable television shows ever? Absolutely not.

Do I believe that DOG is a RACIST? ABSOLUTELY NOT.

Do I condone the use of the “N” word by anyone? ABSOLUTELY NOT.

Do I think his television show should be pulled? Absolutely not, however, that has nothing to do with me.

I know that at one time or another we have all said something, usually when we are mad that we regret, I know I have.

I know that DOG did not intend to harm anyone and by his own words he is SORRY to EVERY person on earth that he offended or hurt. He has expressed his true sorrow. As Christians we all believe that God is a forgiving God and I believe we should live by that also. I am sorry does not erase the pain the use of that word may have caused, however, I know it was not meant the way that it came out.

There are always two sides to every story and I am sure we will all hear exactly what caused a man that has changed his life, turned it over to God, to have become so upset that he used a word that would cause so much grief.

I will continue to be a true friend of DOG and his entire family, because they are good people and deserve to be heard and hopefully forgiven for making an awful mistake, a mistake that I know has and will continue bring awareness to the hurt that the use of the “N” word can cause. May we all try to assure that we erase that word from the mouth of anyone that may be inclined to say it, for any reason.

Thank you for reading my thoughts about this and may the Lord Bless you all.

What’s with all the Jesus-y Lord talk? And what exactly is the problem with using the “N” word? John Lennon used the “N” word all of the time, and with great results! If we’re serious about ending this war we’re all going to have to start using the “N” word a lot more and with vigor!

I’m pretty sure that God and his son, Jesus, the Lord, invented the “N” word, they gave us dominion over the “N” word. We are supposed to be stewards of the “N” word, harvest its bounty and imbibe its richness. When we snub the gifts of God and his son, Jesus, the Lord, God gets pissed and gives us 9/11 and Katrina.
