Focus protested by conservatives? Buh-wuzzah you say?

Yep, apparently the ‘Bortion Squad showed up this morning at Focus on the Family to shake their little fists at Dobson. Their problem? Dobson has thrown his weight behind the McCain/Palin ticket and they don’t like McCain because ol’ Tigh “voted to approve funds for abortion in the case of pregnancies stemming from rape or incest.” Bortion!

From the ‘Zette:

In January 2007, Dobson said he would “not vote for John McCain under any circumstances” or support a candidate who wavered in support of pro-life interests. But on Friday, according to a Focus spokesman, Dobson threw his support to McCain following the selection of Sarah Palin as the Republican vice presidential candidate. Palin, a conservative, is staunchly anti-abortion.

“If I went into the polling booth today, I would pull the lever for John McCain,” according to a quote posted on Citzienlink.org, a Web site of Focus on the Family’s political action arm.

Although Dobson’s quote might seem to be an endorsement, Focus spokesman Tom Minnery made a distinction, saying Dobson “supports,” but has not yet formally endorsed McCain.

Yes, what a great distinction, especially when it’s meant to mollify people even more fundotarded than you. Let’s get this straight: JAMES DOBSON is too liberal for these folks. Ahem, and ahoy.
