I listened to the recording yesterday on the Guardian website and felt annoyed that someone recorded it and then released it to the world press. Can’t someone have a bad day at work without it being broadcast to the masses?
I like Christian Bale so then I had to ask, if an actor I didn’t like, or an actress had a 3 minute tirade like this, would I still feel like sticking up for them? Possibly not.
I don’t know much about acting, but I can imagine that trying to do a scene with some git piddling about with the lights would be quite infuriating if one is trying to nail a complicated scene. And then having the director say, sorry, I didn’t see it? Isn’t the director supposed to be watching? and in charge?
I watched Hancock last night which McG directed. Oh dear. Maybe Mr. Bale has good reason to be grumpy.
