Dan Savage Savages Tony Perkins on Gay Marriage
While our public employees in Colorado Springs still don't have access to same-sex partner employee benefits, California takes another step away from us and down the road toward full equality. Someday we'll catch up.
In the meantime, this is fun:

Thanks so much for posting this, Barb! Dan Savage remains The Man I'd Go Gay For, if not for his happy marriage and child and stuff, and the Family Research Council spokeshaircut is citing spurious, awful data in his defense of "traditional marriage."
For those of you who aren't aware, Savage is the editor of Seattle's Stranger by far the country's best weekly, and authors a semiregular blog feature called "Every Child Needs A Mother And A Father," in which he basically highlights awful hetero parents. And, ahem, "Savage Love" can be seen in Colorado Springs exclusively in the Newspeak each month.

"We're not coming to pee in the batter of your wedding cake." Loved that.
