The Perseids Meteor Shower starts tonight (Aug. 12th at 2am) and will rain down meteoroids until August 22nd with the number of meteoroids quickly diminishing from 50-80 every hour to one an hour on the 22nd.
So grab a blanket, find a dark spot away from the city lights and enjoy the view.

Remember a few years ago, when a little show called Buffy the Vampire Slayer was on the air? And there was talk about doing an animated version of the show? And that never happened? Well, here's the four-minute treatment they did to pitch the series, featuring the voices of Anthony Head, Nicholas Brendan and Allison Hannigan but not Sarah Michelle Gellar because she was WAAAY too busy reading terrible scripts. And yeah, you can sort of see why this thing was never made, although hearing the Scooby-in-library banter made me wipe a tear from the leaking eyes of my soul.
Oh, and Joss Whedon is reshooting the pilot of his new show, Dollhouse.
I enjoy the program Dirty Jobs. I enjoy mainly because of host Mike Rowe, who entertains me deeply. But did you know Mike Rowe used to be a host on QVC? And that he was equally as hilarious? It's true—he's like the Craig Richardson of hawking Precious Moments figurines! Watch and enjoy.
And my favorite, in which Mr. Rowe tells us, "There is precious little cherubical information."
